Why This Website Was Created On December 16, 2005, a patient of doctor Kloeris, Charles Stockdale III, died of a toxic combination of prescription drugs prescribed to him by doctor Kloeris. At 23 years of age, Xanax, vicodin, and valium, all known central nervous system depressants, caused Charles' respiratory and cardiovascular functions to cease operating, resulting in his death. On December 15, 2005, the day before his death, Charles was prescribed 60 vicodin and 90 Xanax (2 mg tablets) by doctor Kloeris. The following is an excerpt from a disciplinary order against doctor Kloeris issued on April 3, 2009 by the Texas Medical Board : a. On November 29, 2005, Respondent saw patient C.S. (Charles Stockdale), for the first time, for anxiety and panic attacks. C.S. reported that he was currently taking Xanax 2 mg, twice daily, for anxiety. C.S. also told Respondent that he was out of medications. Respondent’s medical plan was for the Xanax dose to be decreased over time.
After an investigation, the Texas Medical Board found that doctor Steven Kloeris violated the standard of care in treating the deceased (Charles Stockdale), his wife, and one other patient who was given more than 25 injections of demerol by doctor Kloeris.
